How to prevent dry cuticles

Cuticles drying and cracking in the winters is a common problem.

They not only peel, but bleed too, making the pain unbearable and spoiling your whole look. To prevent ragged cuticles, just take care of the following.

- Stop picking at them or ripping them off.
- If absolutely needed, cut them off with a cuticle nipper, or nail cutter.
- If the situation is bad, put band aid.
- Apply cuticle oil thick layer of petroleum jelly religiously every night.
- Wear gloves so that the skin soaks in the moisture.
- Moisturise your hands and nails every time you wash them.
